Radio Baladi with Ray Hanania and Ali Younes on WNZK AM 690 Radio Friday May 17, 2013 www.RadioBaladi.com. Topics include the new campaign by Google to censor Arab writers online by targeting and shutting down their blogs. Hundreds of blogs by American Arabs and Arabs in the Middle East have been closed, claiming to be “spam sites.”The truth maybe that Google recognize Palestine as a state a few weeks back and designated the West Bank as Palestine and that caused an uproar in the pro-Israel hate community. Google maybe trying to appease the Israeli extremists and fanatics by targeting the hate groups, rather than reversing themselves and calling Palestine Ïsrael”as the pro-Israeli haters are demanding.

Also, they discuss the situation in Jordan with the rise of Syrian refugees fleeing the conflict in Syria and oppression of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad whose military has targeted civilians. The conflict has created an opportunity for terrorists like al-Qaeda to infiltrate and engage the conflict, also. The Syria conflict has divided the Arab Community and the Arab World.

Finally, we also talk about the shameful conduct of the Newseum, the Journalism Museum in Washington DC, which this week caved to pro-Israel hate activists. Last week, the Newseum announced it was recognizing as “Fallen Heroes” 88 journalists who were killed in conflict zones, including two Palestinian journalist working for the Hams-owned TV station al-Quds. The journalists, Mahmoud AlKumi and Hussam (Hossam) Salama, were driving in their car which was marked as “TV” on the roof — standard practice for war zone journalists. They had just left covering a story at al-Shifaa hospital in Central Gaza where scores of Palestinian civilians were being treated who were attacked by Israeli military and settlers by missiles and bombs. The Israeli military IDF fired two missiles at the car killing both journalists. Israel claims all Palestinians are terrorists and therefore can be killed no matter their jobs, profession or even age.

Saudi Gazette Columnist Ray Hanania and Al- Arabiya Columnist Ali Younes discuss issues in the news on Radio Baladi, Friday April 5, 2013, 8 am WNZK AM 690 Radio live in Metro-Detroit and online at www.RadioBaladi.com. Our guest this morning is Pamela Olson the author of the new book “Fast Times in Palestine” which details her two and one half year travels and work in Palestine. It’s a fast paced, compelling story that offers a unique perspective into the real life of Palestinians. Olson, a typical American, met a friend who Was Arab, traveled to the Middle East and then ended up in Palestine where she was shocked to see that the reality was far different from what was being fed to Americans by the mainstream American media and politicians. Her book details her firsthand experience living with the Palestinians, exploring their views, feelings, experiences, politics and perspectives on peace with Israel. Fast Times in Palestine is a MUST READ book for anyone who wants to peek into the reality of Palestinian life. During the second half of the show, Hanania and Younes discuss Egypt’s President Mohammed Morsi and activist Bassem Youssef and the tensions that are taking place as Democracy fights for survival in a hostile country beset by violence from both sides, the government and the activists. We also discuss Democracy and how it evolves. Should the world expect Democracy to take hold overnight or should we give it time to strengthen — it took 237 years for Democracy to reach today in America and in early American Democracy that was violence, oppression, slavery and suppression of free speech and women’s rights. <itunes:summary>Saudi Gazette Columnist Ray Hanania and Al- Arabiya Columnist Ali Younes discuss issues in the news on Radio Baladi, Friday April 5, 2013, 8 am WNZK AM 690 Radio live in Metro-Detroit and online at www.RadioBaladi.com. Our guest this morning is Pamela Olson the author of the new book "Fast Times in Palestine" which details her two and one half year travels and work in Palestine. It's a fast paced, compelling story that offers a unique perspective into the real life of Palestinians. During the second half of the show, Hanania and Younes discuss Egypt's President Mohammed Morsi and activist Bassem Youssef and the tensions that are taking place as Democracy fights for survival in a hostile country beset by violence from both sides, the government and the activists. We also discuss Democracy and how it evolves. Should the world expect Democracy to take hold overnight or should we give it time to strengthen -- it took 237 years for Democracy to reach today in America and in early American Democracy that was violence, oppression, slavery and suppression of free speech and women's rights.

Hosts Ali Younes and Ray Hanania on Radio Baladi WNZK AM 69 radio in Detroit Friday Feb. 1, 2013 (8-9 am EST) discuss a wide range of topics including the nomination of Chuck Hagel and John Kerry, Israel’s military assault against Syria and Syrias threat to respond militarily, the protests in Egypt against President Mohamed Morsi, are they legitimate or are Arabs against Democracy? And they discuss the Human Rights UN commission report that Israel’s racist Jewish-only settlements in the West Bank in Palestine are illegal under international law and violate the Fourth Geneva Conventions. And they also debate whether a Coca Cola Superbowl Advertisement that depicts Arabs and Camels in a negative way is racist or just an insignificant commercial. www.RadioBaladi.com Join our Facebook Page click here and www.Hanania.com

We interview Hanna Hanania the founder of NAAP the Network of Arab American Professionals (www.NAAPOnline.org) about his effort to support the upgrade of Palestine at the United Nations, along with other related issues including bringing the Palestinian American community together for effective organizing. We also take calls from listeners about Palestine and the need to overcome the divisions that separate Palestinian and American Arab people and keep us disorganized and ineffective in our political and social activism.
