Ricky Ben David, News Editor and Videographer for the Times of Israel news website which also features blogs, joins Ray Hanania on his monthly Detroit radio show The Arab Daily News/Radio Baladi to discuss issues in the Palestine-Israel conflict on Friday April 10, 2015.
Ben David, a former Op-Ed editor at the Jerusalem Post where Hanania previously wrote a weekly column, talks about the change of Hagai Amir, the brother of Yigal Amir who murdered Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in 1995 and helped undermine peace and prolonged the death-driven violence for another two decades. Ben David, who interviewed Hagai Amir, said that the murder accomplice who served a prison term for his role in the 1995 assassination, spent much time meeting imprisoned Palestinians and today believes that there should be one state where Jews and non-Jews, Arabs and Israelis, live together in peace.
Ben David also talks about extremism in Israel, the reality of the relationship between the Israeli right and the Christian Evangelical Movement, the re-election of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and how Israelis view, peace Two-States and President Barack Obama.
It's rare that Israelis and Palestinians discuss major issues but the discussion offers an insight into how the conflict can be stopped and how Palestinians and Israelis can achieve peace.
The show was broadcast in Detroit on WNZK AM 690 Radio and in Washington DC on AM 700 radio, and was rebroadcast in edited form (minus ad breaks) on Talk of the Town Radio on 1450 AM Radio and YahalaVoice.com radio Friday April 10, 2015 at 3:30 pm in Chicago CST.
